“Keep It Safe” Campaign

Nationwide 31st May 2011

Mind your personal property
The Keep it Safe campaign is in support of the Gardai’s Supporting Safer Communities campaign. Crimestoppers is asking people to be vigilant. Don’t leave valuable items in an unattended car and keep a close eye on your wallet and mobile phone when you’re out socialising.

There are some very simple steps people can take to protect their own property. For example, when you’re out socialising, keep your wallet/purse and mobile phone hidden and don’t leave your handbag or briefcase where you can’t see it, for example on the floor beneath your seat. It is equally important to be vigilant in your car.The Garda advice is not to leave property on view inside your vehicle. Please continue to report personal crimes to your local Garda station. But, if you have information which can help Gardai to solve a crime, you can call Crimestoppers in confidence on 1800 25 00 25.
